Are you ready for a regular monthly newsletter?
East London District is coming together to celebrate another successful twelve months!
You are invited to join us, catch up with scouting friends over a buffet, and reflect on some brilliant moments from the last year.
We're celebrating 12% growth across a district that's twice the size it was 20 years ago! And we're celebrating in style:
Date: Wed. 20th September
Time: 7:30pm
Venue: Dockland Scout Project
Do you want to suggest AOB for the agenda, or stand for the Trustee Board?
The deadline for contacting the Chair about either is 7pm on Friday 15th September (which allows us to finalise / circulate the agenda in advance of the meeting.)
This year not all of our elected trustees will be re-running for election, and we need new members (aged 18+) to stand for election.
If you'd like to find out more, then please contact Alan.Hands@eastlondonscouts.org.uk

There's no restriction on how long you've been involved, or your role if you're an adult.
In the past we've awarded this award to:
A Beaver Scout who was making massive efforts to help a boy with autism to settle into the colony.
An Explorer Scout Unit Chair who was doing the work of an adult leader in helping to run his unit.
Adults going above and beyond who couldn't be recognised by the normal good service awards at the time.

(Wednesday, 4th October 2023)
Are you free in the afternoon on 4th October to help us to talk to students / potential volunteers at Queen Mary University in Mile End?
This is always a fun afternoon, and gives us the opportunity to talk to younger leaders moving into area / to help get former Explorer Scouts back involved in Scouting after moving away from home.
